The Community Investment Committee’s work takes place each spring. Their responsibilities include:
- Reviewing grant applications
- Meeting with representatives of each organization that applied for a grant
- Developing funding recommendations to the Board of Trustees
The Board Development Committee’s responsibilities include:
- Recruiting qualified candidates for Board membership
- Building new relationships in and with the community
- Strengthening the United Way’s relationship with health and human service organizations in the community
The Marketing Committee’s responsibilities include:
- Presenting United Way and its work to the public
- Communicating the impact that United Way’s work has in and on the community
The Finance Committee’s responsibilities include:
- Oversight of financial transactions
- Development of annual budget for approval of the Board of Trustees
- Oversight of the annual audit process
- Oversight of all endowment funds
The Endowment and Planned Giving Committee’s responsibilities include:
- Educating the public about United Way’s impact in the community and how donors can support the work of the United Way through a charitable gift
- Working with the media and personal contacts to meet these aims
